— Eric Davis (USA)
////Red bastard, a rude`n`good show!

Concept and performing: Eric Davis
Lights: Goran Završnik

Eric Davis is a director, improviser and clown from New York. He is also the founder and one of the artistic directors of the international NY Clown Theatre Festival. He has received numerous international awards and nominations (Golden Nose – New York, NY Innovative Theatre Awards). He has also been a director for the world-famous artistic circus Cirque du Soleil.
////The starting point of the Red Bastard performance is the character of the bouffon, who simulaneously combines two unusual and completely opposite extremes –the grotesque nature of human drives and man's innocence. His ego, so enormous it can only be matched with his gigantic red ass, conceals in itself a wonderfully charming and cute personality. The performance is a lucid dialogue between the Red Bastard and the audience – a dialogue, where anything can happen and where the unknown is constantly and simultaneously discovered by both. While stemming from an ancient theatrical tradition, the performance is more up-to-date then most and opens up some important questions for the field of contemporary arts.
